Though the Resolutionary iPad as mentioned by Apple Inc. has not yet hit the apple stores around the world, the preview has massively hit the web. The most talked about feature is the Retina display that makes everything look crisper and much lifelike. According to Apple the text is razor sharp, the colors are more vibrant, multimedia are poured with much detail. They say its brilliant in every sense of the world. Using the latest version of iPad gives you the feeling of actually touching the photo, reading books and playing piano. The display, the camera and the wireless connection are thus more crystally enhanced and that claims to make the third-generation iPad capable of so much more that someone has ever imagined.

The large beautiful display better, the Retina Display features an impressive 2048X1536 resolutions, 44 percent color saturation with an amazing 3.1 million pixels in the same 9.7 inch screen. You get the best experience so bar in ways you never could before. Every pixels in the display has multiple signals telling it when to light up in response to your input. Having lot of pixels and lot of signals in the same display can sometime lead to degradation of image quality and to make sure this doesn’t happen the Apple engineers have upgraded the pixels into different frame – separating them from the signals. This in itself is a new engineering art that iPad3 brings to you.

The all new iPad 3 brings to you a 5 megapixel iSight camera with advanced optics a backside illumination sensor, auto white balance and face detection for incredible still images, furthermore you can record a 1080 HD video as well making every moment you capture as lively as you remember.

The new iPad features four times the pixels of iPad 2 and quad-core graphics which has almost no effect to your battery life thus maintains the optimum battery life with 10 hours of power backup to read, watch, write and play and perform any task as you want

It supports fast cellular networks – including 4G LTE networks in the US and Canada. Lets you browse the net, stream videos, download movies at blistering fast speeds. It also works on GSM/UMTS worldwide network technologies including HSPA, HSPA+, and DC-HSDPA — the fastest 3G networks.

For the first time, you can share the high-speed data connection on your iPad. If your carrier supports it, iPad can act as a personal hotspot for connecting up to five devices — such as a MacBook Air, an iPod touch, or another iPad — over Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or USB.

The 0.38 inches thick Samsung Galaxy Note is without doubt is the biggest smartphone you have ever seen. If you are wondering why some one would need such a big smartphone. well, Samsung itself has come up with some interesting and realistic (may be) ideas or answer to the question.

The 5 inch screen has made the demarcation between phone and tablet much thinner. Any function that benefits from extra screen space effectively gets an upgrade on the Note, and there are a lot of them. It has a built-in data connection (4G LTE). It can make voice calls over wireless networks. mind you its a Phone. Being WAAAAIDE (wide) in size, it has enough room for 30 odd app icons. Some of you might not like it to have so many icons scattered, after all it should have a phone look huh..!! The best part is for those who often do readings in their phone, the wide screen helps in reading better than almost any phone.

Google gets a green signal from both European Union and US Department of Justice for the proposed takeover of Motorola Mobility for $12.5 billion

The Justice Department announcement, which came hours after European regulators approved the transaction, said it was ‘unlikely to substantially lessen competition’ or to ‘significantly change existing market dynamics.’ An investigation centred on whether Google might make it harder for big-selling handset manufacturers such as Samsung or HTC to use the operating system Google developed, Android.

In addition to approving the Google-Motorola Mobility deal, the department said it was closing its investigations into the purchase by Apple, Microsoft and Research In Motion of Nortel Networks patents and the acquisition by Apple of Novell patents.

‘After a thorough review of the proposed transactions, the Antitrust Division has determined that each acquisition is unlikely to substantially lessen competition and has closed these three investigations,’ it said.

Please note This product is PRECISELYcut. This is what people are referring to in the negative reviews. It gives the illusion of a “Screen Protector Free” phone. If this is your first time installing a protector, it may take a few tries to get it perfectly aligned. You may remove and reapply as many times as you would like. There is no need to waste another protector. You can simply peel it back and reapply. Having a smaller sized screen protector would not provide a sleek look and would leave parts unprotected. The final results are worth the small extra effort.

Halo Screen Protectors offers the highest quality and highest rated screen protectors available on the market today. Halo Screen Protectors consist of multi-layer Grade A Japanese Film which insures optimum protection and leaves your screen protected for a lifetime. Screen protectors are designed to offer zero to minimal bubbles during application, easy to install, and are reusable. Halo Screen Protectors come in a 3 pack to ensure you always have a spare just in case.

Trace the nearest restaurants, cafés and even concerts with this helpful navigator. But it’s much more than an amenity-finder. Fire up the buddy beacon feature and it’ll track down your mates. If there are any nearby, it’ll pin their location down onto the map, so they won’t have to bark directions to you down the phone, instead relying on the iPhone to guide you right to them!

Vicinity (£1.79)
Tuck into this delectable amenity locater and grab all the latest restaurant and bar hangouts in your locale. With one touch access to all manner of food and drink spots it doesn’t matter whether you’re more Harry Ramsden than Ramsey, its all here.

G-Park (£0.59)
This lifesaving app can be filled with full details of your emergency contacts. It also lists over 175 of the most common diseases, allergies, medications and medical conditions, so you can easily select the ones appropriate to you.

The Amazon Kindle Fire is what the tech world likes to coin a game-changer. A gadget with the potential to irrevocably alter a sector of the market to the point of no return.

A fully-fledged Android tablet with a top-level ecosystem of multimedia content for less than half the price of its competitors isn’t just changing the game, it’s changing the entire sport.

The long-awaited, 7-inch, Android 2.3 Gingerbread tablet, which Amazon has been diligently plotting for the last couple of years off the back of its Kindle e-reader successes, also arrives at the perfect time with the tablet arena at a crossroads.

Despite a flood of Android Honeycomb tablets arriving throughout 2011 offering stiff critical competition to the iPad, nothing has really stuck with consumers who still, by-and-large, see Android tablets as poor-man’s iPads for the rich-man’s spending power.

£400+ for an undeniably luxury item is just too expensive for some, but the stunning demand for the largely mundane HP TouchPad fire sale proved people do really want affordable tablets.

Now, once Amazon decides to launch in the UK (at present there’s no launch date or price in the works) everyone can own a tablet with real pedigree, minus the buyers remorse. It costs just $199 in the US, which works out to about £125.

From Amazon’s point of view, the idea is simple. It believes it can replicate the success of its all-conquering Kindle reader devices by once again taking a hit on the hardware.

The built-in ecosystem of books, magazines, apps and movies Amazon has built allows it to do what LG, Samsung, Motorola can’t, and what Apple has no reason to; abandon any thought of profitable hardware.

This is the first Kindle to boast a colour screen, a holy grail to some users of the device, and with a 7-inch, 1024×600 display it falls at the smaller end of the tablet sphere.

With Android 2.3 (not the newer tablet-centric Honeycomb 3.0 software) on board, it’s also the the first to run anything other than the non-native software. However, Amazon’s custom designed user interface takes precedence.

Since Amazon announced the Kindle Fire, and its price point, excitement has been at fever pitch, but it remained a gadget none of us had ever seen up-close or played with.

What would be the use of a $200 Android tablet that doesn’t work, has a terrible touchscreen or buggy, unusable software? We flew over a device on launch day in the US, so it’s time for the hype to subside and for the testing to begin.

Owners of Apple’s newest mobile gadgets can now break their devices free from the confines of the company’s restrictions. The iPhone 4S and iPad 2 can be jailbroken without being tethered to a computer for the first time thanks to a new tool called Absinthe A5.

Last month, hackers released a jailbreak for iOS 5 that covered all compatible devices except for those with an A5 processor. That meant that iPhone 4S and iPad 2 owners were out of luck if they wanted an untethered jailbreak solution. Today that changes, thanks to the efforts of the Chronic Dev Team and other developers in the jailbreaking community.

The iOS 5 jailbreak for non-A5 devices was released in December by pod2g, a well-known iOS hacker. After he succeeded in jailbreaking everything but the A5 devices, he decided to release his work as a public tool via greenpois0n and redsn0w and share his progress with the Chronic Dev Team to expedite the process of hacking the iPhone 4S and iPad 2.

December’s release was the first untethered jailbreak made available for iOS 5 since the operating system’s launch in October. Previously, users could only jailbreak the OS using a “tethered” solution, meaning it required devices be connected to a desktop or laptop whenever they are rebooted. It may have hit the spot for hardcore jailbreak addicts, but for most users a solution of that nature is too cumbersome.

While the practice is officially discouraged by Apple, jailbreaking unlocks a world of unauthorized apps and user interface tweaks that aren’t available via the iTunes App Store.

For some, allowing their laptop to piggyback off their phone’s data connection for free makes it worth the effort. Others like customizing the phone, playing vintage video game emulators or open the phone using facial recognition instead of a pin number. Last year we rounded up more than 30 reasons to jailbreak, a list that has only grown since then.

Absinthe A5 is only available for Mac OS X initially, but is expected to arrive on Windows and Linux in due time.

Maybe it’s a cliché that big things come in small packages, but with its IdeaPad U300s, Lenovo proves there’s truth in them there words.

The latest entry into the increasingly crowded ultrabook market, Lenovo takes the high (end) road, offering a well-thought-out feature set while keeping costs — if not exactly cheap — at a reasonable level.

Fully loaded, the high-end version of the U300s largely mimics the high-end version of the MacBook Air, with a 1.7GHz Core i7 CPU, 4GB of RAM and a blazing-fast 256GB SSD hard drive. Even the port selection is a close approximation of the Air, with two USB ports (one USB 3.0), an HDMI port, and a headphone/microphone combo jack. No Ethernet, and no SD card slot.

As expected, the U300s is a stunning performer. While the Sony Vaio Z Series has more power, it’s only 10 percent faster … and $1,000 more expensive. Gaming, of course, isn’t the U300s’s strong suit, and battery life is a touch on the weak side for the category, barely hitting four hours.

The look of the U300s is a bit different than most ultrabooks. It’s actually quite eye-catching, taking its design cue from a hardcover book, complete with “covers” that slightly overhang the rest of the unit, both on the top and bottom. It’s a cute design idea but it’s also surprisingly functional, making it really easy to open the LCD one-handed. Like the Air, the all-metal design also adds to the unit’s sturdiness, but Lenovo still manages to keep overall weight at just 2.9 pounds, a shade under the Air.

Adding to the plus column is the U300s’s keyboard, one of the best-designed and most thoughtfully laid-out ultrabook keyboards I’ve encountered from this recent bumper crop. Key travel is solid and even the arrow keys, normally useless on these machines, are well placed, full sized, and easy to reach. The only issue: No backlighting.

Only two problems earned this machine its demerits. First is the display, which is by far the dimmest ultrabook LCD I’ve encountered, and one of the dimmest screens altogether I’ve seen in years. It’s not so dark as to be unreadable, but it’s a big disappointment on an otherwise stellar unit.

Problem number two involves the clickpad. While it’s spacious to the point of near-enormity, tracking is skittish, gestures are erratic, and, more importantly, clicks are frequently missed. Lenovo has had problems with buttonless clickpads since it started experimenting with them at the beginning of the year. The quirkiness on the U300s has me wondering if it’s time to hang it up and just go back to, you know, actual buttons.

All of this clocks in at $1,500, which is a $100 price cut in comparison to the highest-end MacBook Air, with which it shares a lot of DNA. For the record, that’s probably still more than most people want to pay, but if you’re not interested in the MacOS and want a metal-chassis design, this good-looking Lenovo is a really compelling machine.
